Job Overview:
City Hive is looking for an experienced finance professional to become a key member of the Finance team, working closely with the Director of Strategy and Finance. We are seeking a motivated individual to support our internal and external finance functions. This will include, but not be limited to, assisting with identifying and evaluating business opportunities, conducting detailed financial analysis, and driving strategic initiatives from ideation through implementation.You will also work with the team on special projects such as acquisitions, funding rounds, and equity events.
You will work cross-functionally, collaborating with teams to define and evaluate KPIs, review and implement business models, and drive short and long-term growth. There will be exciting opportunities to oversee high-impact initiatives and work closely with the management team.
This is a full-time, in-office role in our New York City office (as a general rule, we are in the office at least four days each week).
In this role, you will
- Support financial planning, budgeting, due diligence, and forecasting processes in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and, both, identify and evaluate business opportunities
- Develop and maintain financial and business models for various business scenarios
- Drive strategic initiatives from opportunity evaluation through implementation, working cross-functionally to determine requirements and KPIs
- Prepare and present clear and concise presentations, reports, and metrics for various stakeholders (ranging from internal management to existing and potential investors or partners)
- Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, particularly in regards to payment processing
- Evaluate market and industry trends and provide recommendations in alignment with findings
- Create and refine presentations on strategy and financials, analysis and discussion documents for internal and external stakeholders, project management, support on marketing material
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 4+ years experience in an FP&A, Strategic Finance, or consulting role (or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving and heightened attention to detail
- High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with ability to analyze large sets of data
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals
